Crack-It with SIIB – “Live the experience”

The last leg of the Test prep initiative – Crack-It with SIIB is an annual pan India event conducted by the Public Relations & Media Committee in various cities across the country.

Last year, the event was conducted in twenty five cities. The major cities covered were New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

It is an interactive session where MBA aspirants connect with SIIB students pursuing their MBA and clarify all their doubts regarding MBA, the SNAP Test and life at Symbiosis Institute of International Business. Tips and tricks to ace SNAP and the GDPI-WAT process , life at a B-school and more are shared with the aspirants.

MBA - Agri Business

Agriculture has long been seen as a sector with tremendous potential in India. In the last few years the sector has seen an unprecedented upsurge with several government and private sector initiatives. This development coupled with changing global norms such as the WTO rulings and increased global competitiveness stresses upon the fact that there is a tremendous need for professional courses in agribusiness management and this makes it one of the most challenging and exciting sectors to be in, either as a professional or as an entrepreneur. The MBA (AB) program is thus a response to this growing need for professionals who can contribute to and also engineer the agribusiness revolution.

MBA - Energy & Environment

Energy is at the core of all economic activity. Indeed, the pace of development of any country is determined by this crucial sector. To ensure sustainable development, it is imperative to understand the related environment issues such as climate change, loss of bio-diversity, ozone layer depletion etc. As an Institute of International Business, SIIB believes that strengthening and building capacity in this emerging sector is critical and thus we have taken the initiative to create young professionals who can be assets to organizations in this crucial sector - a sector whose importance will only grow, and grow at an amazing pace, in the years to come. This MBA – Energy & Environment program provides a judicious blend of theory and practice and thus prepares the applicant to meet contemporary global requirements.

MBA-IB (Batch 2015-17)

The season witnessed many prominent recruiters from different industries like ITC ABD, Darashaw, Accenture, ANZ Bank, HDFC Bank, Dun and Bradstreet, Kirloskar, ICICI Bank, Godrej & Boyce, Axis Bank, Daimler, HDFC Life, DHL Logistics, Infosys BPO, and Crisil to name a few. This year the college presented impressive international placement opportunities with companies such as Tolaram Group and Khimji Ramdas. There was also a significant increase in the number of PPO/PPI from noteworthy organizations like Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, L&T Finance, and Asian Paints, from last year. Recruiters offered some of the most desirable and niche roles in the industry across domains like Business Analytics, Consulting, Business Excellence, Financial Research, Human Resource Management and Operations Management. There has also been a surge in the number of new recruiters as compared to last year.

MBA Agri Business witnessed promising placements for the Batch 2015-17. A number of companies visited the campus of which many were new recruiters. Companies such as Bayer, L&T Finance, Mahyco, Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank, Godrej Agrovet, IFFCO, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Tolaram Group and GVR etc. offered roles in different domains such as Consulting, Agri Input, Trading, Commodity and Food & Beverages etc. The trust of the regular recruiters was re-instilled and a fresh bunch of new recruiters turned their faith towards us this year.
